Surprise... Blue and white

Another blue and white, larger this time.

This card is the same style as the last, with a punched matt and central bouquet.  I have used the Xcut flower dies to cut the petals, and have used a thick embossed card which creates a lovely texture to the card.  The leaves have been die cut & punched and shaped with an embossing tool before adhering to the card.  Tiny pearls have been added as the flower centres.

More flowery Offerings

With maybe just a touch of Blue & White.....

Summer has finally arrived so I thought I would celebrate with some more flowers.

This is a very simple floral bouquet, made on a 5 X 5 card base with a 3'' punched matt in the centre.  I made this using the eyelet lace MS PATP punches. Flowers were punched using a simple sunflower punch and papermania mini flower punches, I shaped the petals using an embossing stylus and added a base of punched leaves and a ribbon to finish.

Yet another Blue & White floral

I bought this new stamp yesterday, a huge flower head by Woodware.

This is what I used it to create.

Unusual for me to get to work with a new stamp so quickly!!  I do have many plans for this stamp but for this project I have covered the image with lots of tiny punched flowers which I have shaped  with an embossing tool, and finished with teeny tiny beads in the centres. The papers I used were papermania's Blueberry capsule collection, very delicate shades which worked perfectly with this project.  I have used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edges of the white card layer & finished off with some papermania blue dotty ribbon & a stamped sentiment.

BLACK & WHITE

I have used some of my newest goodies to create this monochrome bird card.

Papers are Papermania Bexley Black capsule range, the centre panel I have matted on to black card & added a dotty ribbon.  Die cuts are nesties petite ovals and the bird or the branch is a die by Marianne creatables.  I have added flowers & flourishes, the flowers are my favourite Nellie Snellen floral punch which I love for the embossing & dimension it gives, the flourish is also a Marianne die.  Tiny flowers I have added to the branch are a simple circle which I have shaped using an embossing tool.   Sentiment is one by LOTV.

A couple of Blue & White floral

I love  creating flowery cards & blue & white is one of my favourite colourways.  I have been experimenting with texture & dimension in these two.

To create the base I inked the inside of an embossing folder with tumbled glass distress ink and ran it through the big shot.  To create the frame I used spellbinders lattice rectangle die and then cut the inner with a craft knife as I don't have the right size of die, a little fiddly & not quite perfect.  I have used the fanciful flourish from Cheery Lynn and punched and shaped flowers cut with a Martha Stewart flower punch.  Added pale blue gems for the flower centres.

Another blue & white, this time even more subtle shades.

This time a smaller card A6 size.  I have layered cardstock in pale blue and white, the white was embossed using the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder.  Frame created using nestabilities petite ovals, both scalloped & plain.  Flowers have again been punched using Martha Steward punch and have been shaped with an embossing tool.  I added a hint of tumbled glass distress ink to the centre for a very subtle look.  The flowers have been added again to the Cheery Lynn fanciful flourish for a very simple elegant look.

My challenge winning card

Origami folded shirts

This card won me a stash of goodies over on the Docrafts site, when I submitted it as my entry for the weekly sketch challenge.

It is a lovely big 8 x 8 card and I have used the Portobello Road papers to cover it with.  The shirts were made from a variety of papers and were 1/4 of an A5 sheet in size.

Papermania papers & card in 'turf' green of course.  Border cut using Martha Stewart punch.  I have punched holes and set with eyelets, threaded with ribbon.

Wellington Bear papers this time teamed with coredinations card, a bit of inking on the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks.  Papermania urban birds stamped image,  trimmed with mini buttons, Boofle buttons and card candi.

A couple of Children's cards

Just to get my creativity going!!

Bright & bold pinks for a little girl.  Papermania Basics and Boofle papers, with hot pink card, topped with a fizzy moon chipboard.

One for the boys!!

Six year old star wars fan, with a bit of glitter & of course plenty of stars.

Engagement Card

Another double easel!!

A touch of cuteness!!  I have die cut these two little love birds using Xcut leaf nesting dies.  The hearts have been die cut on glittered paper using Nellie Snellen dies.  Again I have used papermania Lincoln Linen papers, and textured vanilla card for the little punched bunches of flowers.

Double Easel cards

This is what I have been doing while I have been too busy to blogg!!

Double easel & more double easel cards, they have proved to be so popular.

Here are a few I have made for Wedding, Engagement & Anniversaries.

I have used off white pearl card & either Lincoln Linen or Forever Friends Black & Gold papers. I have die cut the floral wreath using a Marianne Creatables die and added tiny flower trims and a hint of glitter.  Borders have been cut using Martha Stewart punches and hearts either die cut or punched.

Just a hint of pink on this Anniversary card.

A couple of butterflies finish off this Wedding card.

Flowers  are punched using  my favourite Nellie Snellen double  punches, and finished off with a drop of liquid pearls.

White on White flower arrangement.

It is a long  time since my last blog,  but I will never learn if I don't keep it up.

Here is a new style I have been working on using die cuts & punches.  I have gone for white on white which could be suitable for any occasion.

I embossed a card using a folder from Forever Friends Black & Gold Collection, and added an oval frame I cut using Spellbinders nesties.  The foliage is die cut from Cheery Lynn fern die, and the flowers were punched using a woodware punch.  I then shaped the petals using an embossing stylus and layered up using silicone glue and glossy accents.
